Grilled Steakhouse Cracker Bites

Ingredients:

  • 12 Wellington Cracked Pepper Crackers
  • 8 oz (225g) steak, such as sirloin, strip steak, or flank steak
  • 2 tbsp Reese Specialty Foods Prepared Horseradish
  • 1 cup arugula
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Optional: fresh chives, flaky sea salt, or a squeeze of lemon for finishing

    Directions

    1. Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
    2. Pat the steak dry and rub with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
    3. Grill for 3–5 minutes per side for medium-rare to medium, depending on thickness.
    4. Transfer to a cutting board and let rest for 5 minutes.
    5. Slice the steak thinly against the grain.
    6. Spread a small amount of prepared horseradish onto each Wellington Cracked Pepper Cracker.
    7. Top with a slice of steak and add a few arugula leaves.
    8. Finish with chives, flaky sea salt, or a squeeze of lemon if desired, and serve immediately.

    Tips

    • Slice steak as thinly as possible for easy bite-sized assembly.
    • Use warm steak for a steakhouse-style appetizer or chilled steak for picnic-style grazing boards.
    • Assemble just before serving to keep the crackers crisp.
